How to Delete Your Account (In-App Steps)

  1. Open AI Baby Growth Tracker
  2. Tap the More tab
  3. Tap Profile
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Export your data first if you want to keep it — deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  6. Confirm the deletion when prompted
  7. Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted

Note: For security, you may be asked to sign in again (re-authenticate) before deletion can proceed. This is a Firebase security requirement for sensitive operations.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following is permanently deleted from both your device and our cloud servers:

Your account

  • Your Firebase Authentication account and credentials
  • Your email address (including an Apple private relay address, if you used Hide My Email)
  • Your Firebase Authentication User ID (UID)
  • Your Firebase Cloud Messaging notification token

Child profile and health data

All records you entered, both on your device (Apple SwiftData, Keychain) and in the cloud (Firebase Firestore):

  • Child profiles — name or nickname, date of birth, biological sex, avatar colour, growth standard (WHO/CDC/IAP), prematurity or gestational information
  • Growth measurements — weight, height or length, head circumference, BMI, percentiles, z-scores
  • Developmental milestones
  • Daily logs — feeding, sleep and diaper entries
  • Medication records
  • Vaccination history
  • Notes and custom tags
  • Photos you added for avatars or milestones

On-device data

Locally stored records are removed, and any sensitive values held in the Apple Keychain are cleared. Reminders and notifications you scheduled are cancelled.

What Is NOT Deleted / Retained

  • Your App Store subscription: If you have an active premium subscription, deleting your account does not cancel it. Subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple and must be cancelled separately through Apple Subscriptions to avoid being charged.
  • Encrypted backups: Some encrypted backup copies may temporarily remain after deletion, and are automatically removed according to standard backup retention schedules.
  • Anonymous diagnostics: Diagnostics and analytics are disabled by default. If you explicitly opted in through More → Privacy Centre, anonymous crash reports and usage events that were already transmitted cannot be retroactively deleted. They contain no personal or health data and are not linked to your identity after account deletion.
  • Data you exported: Any CSV, JSON or PDF file you exported before deletion remains on your device — we have no access to it.

Export Your Data Before Deleting

Deletion is permanent, so we recommend exporting your records first. The App lets you export at any time via:

  • Export Data (CSV)
  • Export Data (JSON)
  • Doctor Mode PDF reports

This is your right under GDPR (Right to Data Portability, Article 20).

How Long Deletion Takes

Deletion requests are processed as quickly as technically possible. Your account and records are removed on confirmation; as noted above, encrypted backup copies may persist briefly before being automatically removed on their normal retention schedule. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

Cannot Access the App?

If you cannot access the app (for example, a lost device), you can request account deletion by email:
