This page applies to the Android app. If you use AI Baby Growth Tracker on iPhone or iPad, the deletion steps and the data we store are different — see the iOS deletion page instead.

How to Delete Your Account (In-App Steps)

  1. Open AI Baby Growth Tracker
  2. Tap the More tab (bottom-right)
  3. Tap Privacy Centre
  4. Scroll to the "Your Data Rights" section
  5. Tap "Delete my account & data"
  6. You'll be offered to download your data first (CSV export with all growth records) — this is optional but recommended since deletion is permanent
  7. After downloading or skipping, tap "Delete My Account Permanently"
  8. Confirm in the final dialog by tapping "Yes, Delete Everything"
  9. Your account and all data will be permanently deleted

Note: For security, you may be asked to sign out and sign in again (re-authenticate) before deletion can proceed. This is a Firebase security requirement for sensitive operations.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and immediately deleted from both your device and our cloud servers:

Firebase Authentication Account

  • Your email address, display name, and profile photo
  • Your Google Sign-In link (if applicable)
  • Your authentication credentials

Cloud Data (Firebase Firestore) — deleted first

  • children — All child profiles (name, date of birth, gender, avatar, growth standard preference)
  • measurements — All growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference, percentiles, z-scores, BMI)
  • milestones — All developmental milestones (motor, cognitive, social, language)
  • routine_entries — All daily routine logs (feeding, sleep, diaper entries)
  • vaccinations — All vaccination records and schedules

Local Database (Room) — all 8 tables cleared

  • children — Child profiles
  • measurements — Growth measurements
  • milestones — Developmental milestones
  • routine_entries — Feed/sleep/diaper logs
  • vaccinations — Vaccination records
  • weekly_digests — AI-generated weekly summaries and insights
  • chat_messages — AI Coach conversation history
  • ai_response_cache — Cached AI responses

Local Preferences (DataStore) — all cleared

  • App settings (units, theme, language)
  • GDPR consent preferences (analytics, crash reporting, cloud backup)
  • Notification preferences and reminder schedules
  • Streak and achievement progress
  • AI rate limiting counters
  • Active child selection
  • Subscription/entitlement cache

Scheduled Notifications

All measurement reminder notifications are cancelled.

What Is NOT Deleted / Retained

  • Google Play subscription: If you have an active premium subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel your Google Play subscription. You must cancel it separately through Google Play Subscriptions to avoid being charged.
  • Anonymous analytics events: If you previously consented to analytics, anonymous usage events (e.g., screen views, feature taps) that were already transmitted cannot be retroactively deleted. These events contain no personal health data and are not linked to your identity after account deletion.
  • Anonymous crash reports: If you previously consented to crash reporting, anonymous crash logs already transmitted are retained for stability purposes. They contain no personal or health data.
  • Data you exported: If you downloaded your data (CSV) before deletion, that file remains on your device — we have no access to it.

Data Retention Period

No retention period. All personal and health data is deleted immediately upon confirmation. There is no grace period or soft-delete window. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

Data Export Before Deletion

Before deleting your account, the app offers you the option to download all your data as a CSV file containing:

  • Child profiles (name, date of birth, gender)
  • All growth measurements with dates, values, percentiles, and notes

This is your right under GDPR (Right to Data Portability, Article 20).

Cannot Access the App?

If you cannot access the app (e.g., lost device, technical issues), you can request account deletion by emailing us:

Include: The email address associated with your account

We will process your request and delete all associated data within 7 business days.
